Angel: Will you just shut up for once?! Illyria: What? Angel: My God, the speechifying. Has it ever occurred to you that now might not be the best time for when-we-were-muck stories?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Did I just hear The Count from Sesame Street singing about hands in a commercial for a faucet?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I agree that i really should not need AC in PDX. If i enjoyed this kind of weather i would have stayed in Va. There was much flaggellation when i purchased the window unit, but i was getting used to night shift and day sleeping and it felt justified.

Breaking news! Many in Clackamas lost power for a few hours today. Old people might die in hot weather and should be checked on frequently. We need to stay hydrated during Hotpocalypse. Yeah, yeah, yeah, i get it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Did you get my e-mail?

Yes, I did. See: stupid. Thanks much, and if I can get my brain in gear I'll ping you with something tomorrow.

I have probably a dozen personal emails and various projects that need attention, but I'm just...dumb right now. I had to go in to work first thing in the morning to deal with some early-Monday stuff that couldn't be palmed off on anyone else, and then got caught with a couple of phone calls and scheduling snafus that required actual thoughtful, patient work, and by the time I came back home at 10:30 I was practically drooling.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yeah, it's 102 degrees here right now. Which is just insane hot.

So I went to the doctor and oh yeah, I totally had a concussion. But my brain is no longer scrambled and still spicy. Wicked bruising but that's all. I have 5 mg Flexeril now and have taken one. I'm a little relieved that I passed the spicy brain test. And wear your seat belts, seriously.

Congratulations on your brain spice retention, Cass.

Our wings are not tired.

Good to hear your pretty head is gonna make it, Cass.

Random political moment. I'm visiting next door with my parents and sister and we are discussing Republicans shooting themselves in the foot. This conversation after watching the Palin reports. So I mention how surprised I was that Gov Crist had come out against Sotomayor when he was likely looking to be the next FL senator. Mom mentions that she was surprised that he got married recently. I say he really had to be married to go further in his party. Then my 88 yo mom says, "but I thought he was gay." Yes mom, gay Republicans have to get married. I thought my sister was going to choke laughing.

Aw, thanks, -t, but this is just your regular garden variety toddler's-daycare-germ-pool cold. Cass needs the vibes more (though, man, it would be nice to go two months without a round of low-grade ick).
