Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds delicious, also. Y'all are not making waiting for DH to get home with takeout any easier tonight.

Yay to be home, Kristin.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happy belated b-day, vw!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yay for making it home safely, Kristin and GC!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I also am not nearly so useful in the kitchen. Heck, i consider myself very accomplished for soaking and boiling my own black beans (instead of using canned) because i really want a burrito. Except that the beans won't be ready for another hour, and then i will no longer be hungry as i'm sitting here scarfing down fresh cherries.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh! I had breakfast for dinner today, too! But it was my friend in Indiana that made it--bacon & waffles with strawberries and blueberries. Nom.

I am not home yet, but I am nearly there. I am in ABQ and happily reunited with my very sleepy spouse and very happy dog. Tomorrow we'll drive home, and start work as soon as we get there. But still yay, almost home.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm gonna go nom some more frozen fruit. It doesn't seem to be making it quite to the smoothies these days.

I'm getting the pig!

I keep meaning to taste test more fish... I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I think my new favorite snack / meal is cut up mango and avocado with a little salt, pepper, and fresh lemon juice. So very good.

The status is NOT quo.

I am enjoying the hell out of free (well, relatively, anyway) internet and a cell phone that works. Also snuggly pets who are very happy I'm home. Sean takes good care of them, but Seamus and Mia in particular are a little skittish around anyone but us.

I've also been mainlining TV I've missed including the Planet of the Dead Doctor Who (love!!), Leverage (love!!), and Eureka (love!!). I ordered in pizza and chicken strips. Then I discovered that my gym was running a special on personal training (three 50-minute sessions cheap!), so I ordered that and decided it cancels out the pizza. Sort of.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

am finally home. An interesting day. Woke up. Had some yummy Indian buffet for brunch. The restaurant happened to be in the same plaza as Victoria's Secret. So wife of couple I was visiting saw a sale and said "Oh, let me go there and get some stuff for the trip. You guys can shop at some other stores". Only, all the stores in the plaza were clothes. And it was hot. So Husband of couple I was visiting suggested we go into VS and wait there, sit in the comfy chairs, and enjoy the A/C. Only the didn't have comfy chairs. They got some folding chairs. I made a joke, by saying, "oh look, they have wireless" which got Husband all happy, only to discover my little joke was pointing to the sign marking wireless bra's. But the funniest is when Wife called Husband into fitting room and asked "What do you think?" and he responded "um, what am I looking at?" "my boobs!" Then we spent the rest of the afternoon finding things for their trip to Europe.

On the way home, Simon & Garfunkel's "Cecilia" came on, and I thought of Laga and Spidey.

Welcome home Pix!!!!
