It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Grr. I'm on my second set of Torchwood DVDs, and once again the first disc is all scratched up.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Erin, that sounds right on.

Barb, are you referring to the Way encounter in her lj? So perfect.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

that sucks, sj. I got them all my Torchwood from Netflix and it was fine.

It turns out my sister's bf has worked for Equality CA. It's basically a door-to-door sales job with a quota system. I am agreeing with beth and others who said, "why not?" and calling them on Monday.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Laga, omnis is wise. Listen to omnis. I speak as someone who works in a field that just barely manages to pay the bills, and yet feeds my soul in a way no other job ever has. Yeah, there are some days that I feel pretty meh about getting up, but by and large I consider myself so blessed to love my job, and know I make a difference for these people. My wallet may never be fat, but that doesn't mean I'm not rich.

FUCK CANCER!

And the people said AMEN!

Erin, it sounds like you are having a great time with this guy. And yeah, a $20 gift that is pretty unique, and a nice dinner sounds about right to me for a birthday.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Help.

I was in a mood today and joined Ok Cupid. Now I'm stressing about what I wrote.

For the "three adjectives that describe you" I put snarky, thoughtful, laid-back.

For the self summary, here's what I've got:

Me? I'm something of a foodie who loves trying new places, but mostly I'm good with just chilling out at the bar or on a patio. I'm a politics and news junkie who can geek out over grammar, tv, books, voting, tech gadgets or a host of other randomosity at the drop of a hat. Love football, like baseball, indifferent to basketball and as a sometime Canadian, feel vaguely guilty how rarely I follow hockey. I love my job even when it's stressing me out. I'm mostly okay with being single, but when the zombie apocalypse comes, it'd be nice to face it with someone at my side.

Help? I'm so not good at this.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I like it, brenda. I think it's excellent.

You should add the part about, "I don't start trouble but I know how to finish it."
