Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, I lost track of where you're going, but have a great time! (Somewhere warm?)
Ha. Ya. Warm(er). Leaving Dallas, driving down to Houston. Which is closer to the tropics, AND on the Gulf of Mexico, so should be nice and warm and muggy. Eeeeew. But, I'll be seeing some old CA friends, and going to a ball game at a park I've yet to visit. Should be fun!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, Erin! I'm glad you checked in and even gladder to hear you've got such a sassy summer lined up (plus, no catastrophes).

Plans for the weekend - tonight, going to a cabaret. Tomorrow is errands, maybe a movie. Sunday, I'm making baked french toast out of leftover croissants, I have a pig's head* that I will make stock out of, then split pea soup with said stock. I may also bake bread. We'll see how it goes.

*Went to this awesome chef's table at a local place. You get a group together, pick the meat (whole suckling pig, duck, chicken, goat, brisket, squab or salmon), chef picks seasonal sides (we had homemade sourkraut, grilled stone fruit and mac and cheese) It was fabulous, and I took the head home cause I'm southern and we don't waste pig.

Which movie on Sunday, Vortex? I think I wanna see the Orphan.

Weekend will likely be a lot of work (this will all be over soon, I hope, as we're nearing our "decision" date with the FDA...) but a nice celebratory dinner tomorrow night at our favorite Indian restaurant in the Mission, followed by (perhaps) meeting some localistas for drinks. Need to organize this, too distracted.

Sunday will be an all-women's Shakespeare troupe doing "Taming of the Shrew" at a park in Oakland - don't care as much about the play as I do with getting to hang with Consuela!

And lots of Giants baseball, I hope. This series is important.

ETA: Oh, I'm celebrating a newly earned college degree. I received my exam results on Thursday and I'm all done. Many of you already know from LJ. I'm way excited.
