Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Well, unless you want to have that conversation a million more times. Personally, I wouldn't. It's right up there with the male libertarians obsessed with(a woman's, not theirs) "right" to sell their ass. grr...hulk smash!ETA: Although it is kind of funny to watch them back away slowly when you suggest this as a way for LibGuy to solve his own student-loan type dilemmas. Cause, you know, he didn't mean his ass, just some hot chick's.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Some new version of NIMBY?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Randomly, odd bit of disabled "access" I noticed today: the building that my office is in has at least five different entrances. One of them is in the back of the building, and the door opens onto a stairwell -- after you go in and go forward about two feet, the only places to go are up or down stairs. That door has a button to automatically open it. I actually do appreciate it, since that door is kind of heavy and it hurts my shoulders a bit to pull it open, but I've never seen the official reason for putting in one of those buttons being anything other than wheelchair access.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Here's a pretty nifty wedding processional video.

It kinda makes me want to get married, and I don't even dance.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That's so fun and charming, Calli!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

There is a coffee shop in my neighborhood that has a wheelchair/stroller ramp....at the top of a two-step stoop.

Accessibility FAIL.

I need to pack my suitcase. I know I'm going to forget something. I so cannot focus on stuff like this.

OK, categories?

Clothes: underwear, socks, bras, casual shirts, dressy shirts, one dress, one skirt and top outfit, shorts, jeans, pajamas

Beach stuff: bathing suits, shorts and t-shirts, sunscreen, baseball cap, water shoes

Shoes: sneakers, Tevas, ballet flats

Medical: medicines, TENS, ice pack with wraparound strap

Toiletries: hair stuff, hair brush, comb, elastics, clip, razors, shaving cream, body wash, shower poof, toothbrush, toothpaste, contacts, contact case and solution, deodorant

Other stuff: makeup, jewelry, camera, camera charger and cords, cell phone charger, iPod charger, books

What am I forgetting?

(Sorry for clogging the thread with this. I really cannot focus well enough to do this without writing out the list, and I know that someone will spot something that I forgot.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The list sounds good to me, Hil. And I'm packing myself at the moment, so it's fresh on my mind. Notebook? Laundry bag?

I kinda have a lot to say about the o_a date situation, but I think I should probably stick with my general policy of not talking politics/religion online. Much. Suffice it to say that I and my SO have wildly divergent views and have a healthy, vibrant marriage. And furthermore, that political alignment aside, I feel it is a reasonable view to think that FDR is not the best president in history.

And I certainly think that someone holding views like those does not deserve to be punched in the face for the mere act of holding them.

Anyway. That's definitely enough, and omnis should date whomever he feels comfortable with.

move out and draw fire

Randomly, odd bit of disabled "access" I noticed today:

The restroom in my former office had a door-open punch plate. But no accessible stall.
