Customer: “My internet is not working.”
Me: “I can help you with that. Are the lights on your modem lit?”
Customer: “Yes.”
Me: “Good, is the one labeled ‘online’ blinking?”
Customer: “I don’t have a light like that, but it does have the time.”
Me: “The…time?”
Customer: “Yes, and there’s a button labeled snooze!”
Welcome back, sj, glad to see you survived.
My student loan for this coming year got approved. I will have money!
Nice one, Hil! Money is a very good thing. (There are no student loans here for postgraduate study, except for a few courses with money-earning prospects, like law. Hence my desperate scramble to find something like a teaching assistant post.)
Thanks for the responses on the Friday wedding thing. I think we're going to go for it. It means we can have the venue we want, during the summer, outdoors, with my wonderful parish priest giving the blessing, and we don't have to wait until the year 2067. All good things.

All very good things. (I didn't weigh in before, but I've been to weddings on Thursdays before, so Friday seems like no problem.)
and then - not Gaelic- there's the singer Sade...
And also not Gaelic, but Polish, Basia = Basha = Polish for Barbara.
In other words: mother of god where did all this stuff come from???
I think the answer is from your mother. That's what you get for having her first adorable grandchild.
I have to admit that I was a wee bit sorry the Glamboy is not a girl so I could send all the cute stuff that my girl is already outgrowing.
Yay, student loans, Hil. That's one pain in the neck that's solved for you.
Yay, Seska - getting to have the wedding you want, the way you want it, is a good thing.
Peanut butter toast.
Can I just say how much I love, love, love the Buffista baby/kid clothes migration? It just tickles me, no end. Y'all make me happy, just lookin' at you.
Of course, it would be even easier on Buffista Island, where the boxes could be carried over, instead of mailed.
The Buffista Island dog park would be a lovesome thing, too, wouldn't it?
