Since The Boy is vegetarian, I make shepherd's pie with vegetarian shepherds.
::SNORT::
Here was the finished product pre-massacre. Turned out verra spicy, since I used lots of curry, lots of cayenne, and a healthy dash of chipotle tabasco. Also sweet and warm, however, because of some grade B maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Salt, garlic, and black pepper and it was om nom nom nom. [link]
Mmm. Looks pretty, sounds delicious.
Anyone else find it hard to get to sleep in a different place than usual? Forgot dinner because I was working. Went to bed at 10.30. Was still awake and hungry at midnight. Got up and ate everything I could find, including tomatoes and string cheese and an old bread roll. (The cats tried to share the tomatoes.) I have to go shopping. But not right now, 'cause it's 1.50 in the morning.
Barb, I'm envious of that shepherd's pie. I make Delia Smith's version, with leeks and cheese, but yours looks and sounds better.
I may still be hungry...
sssshhhh. Don't look now. But it appears I've made last minute dinner arrangements. See, I didn't have to food shop after all.
mmm... dinner
not the most productive day
mostly iced my stings, did laundry and food shopping.
took a benadryl because my hand is driving me crazy. Now I have an urge to rearrange furniture...
maybe I should add, Last minute dinner arrangements with GGG.

Always. It's widespread enough that there's been a theory floated that that's a hardwired response that's related to, shoot, something to do with REM cycles? Dammit, interesting factoid just out of reach. That's going to drive me crazy.
Yay for dinner plans, omnis.
Eta: I assumed your follow-up.
Oh god. I scarcely ever sleep ANYwhere but in my own bed. The list of rituals and requirements is vast and concrete. It has always been thus and makes me envious of nothing else in this life, except for people who can sleep on demand.
A brief sample: head must be at north, must have 3 pillows, on of which must be paper thin, must wear earplugs (Mack's wax...there is no other brand. If they ever go out of business, I doubt I'll survive it.)
