Went to 7-11 to buy burritos and bananas, then to CVS to pick up my prescriptions. Along the way, a construction worker told me to smile.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
t rant
My house is completely torn up. DW and I stayed in a hotel for the last 2 nights with DW stopping in at the house in the morning to feed and lock up cats. This morning she calls me panicked as she couldn't find one of the cats. So I got my ass up, packed, checked out of the hotel (where I could have stayed nice and cozy until noon), and took a cab home (was planning to hang out at the hotel until DW got off work to pick me up). As a pregnant lady, it's really not great for me to be hanging at home with all the dust and crap in the air. Anyway, I'm home, can't find the cat, can barely communicate the problem to the construction guys (Spanish speakers), and am starving. This is not the way to de-stress a pregnant lady. I think I'm gonna have to just go eat b'fast and hope kitty is okay. Main problem is they are putting drywall up all over the house and the worry is that the cat is in a wall and will be trapped there. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

Happy Nirthday!
The best "contract" is an alt-country/indie rock festival primarily hosted by a saloon-type bar.
Where do I sign up?
Lawyer-types: my mom is a notary, and wants to know if she's legally allowed to notarize the living will and power of attorney for my stepdad's father, since she's his daughter-in-law.
I'm a notary in Michigan and we aren't allowed to notarize for family.
t just not any help at all
*Any* family, or just immediate family?
The American Notary Society's Web site says that they don't recommend notarizing stuff for family.
It looks like it might depend on the state, Steph. The other thing I'm finding (googling "notary conflict of interest") is that a notary in certain states can't notarize anything that has a financial benefit to them.
I've always taken it as all family, though between you and me, I have notarized non-financial things for my sister since we no longer have the same last name.
Tickybox's first lesson:
I foresee what I am doing this weekend! Excellent.
I swear, I'm like Shawn's dad on Psych, only instead of honing her observational abilities, I'm training her to be the perfect geek.
Which reminds me, I have to get back to having her memorize the Green Lantern oath posthaste.
(Things I have trained her to do: blue steel on command, internalize the awareness that criminals are a cowardly and a superstitious lot, understand the importance of owning black and white stripy tights, and say BEEP when going for Jilli's nose. Also, I've trained her to look at Pete and say "ADORABLE!" Which only works sometimes.)
Emeline desperately wants stripy tights, I have not been siccessful in finding good quality ones around here.
