I exercised. And now I'm tired. The exercising part is fun, but the want-to-collapse part, not so much. (My weight plateaued at the place where it always plateaus, and I am determined to lose four more pounds before going to the beach in two weeks. Determination isn't helping much with math right now, but I figure that exercising is different -- I'm burning calories whether I get the moves right or not.)

Asshook. Got the kitten back from the vet with clavamox (for his current UTI) and phenoxybenzamine (a muscle relaxer to help make it easier to pee as he may have stones.)
I gave him the second in a pill pocket before dinner and the first injected into his mouth after eating. All of a sudden now, 20 minutes after, he has a big lump under what would be his left shoulder. I don't think they gave him subdermal liquids, i didn't get charged for it (and they're closed now so i can't ask) but it kinda looks like a big wad of water that's slid down off his back and is now hanging from his upper arm like a wierd purse. It doesn't seem to affect his ability to walk or play, nor cause him any pain. He didn't flinch or make noise when i grabbed it trying to figure out what it is. it juggled when he walks but doesn't appear to be going anywhere. I don't get it, and i REALLY don't want to take him to the animal hospital, but i'm way worried as to WTF is going on!!!

erin, Harvey has only had sub-cutaneous fluids once - and that really does not sound like how his looked. It stayed in the same place, and slowly got smaller throughout the day. But then, like I said, I have seen it only one time - and I have no idea what possible variations there could be. If you call your vet's regular number, does it go to an answering service, or straight to a "For emergency care, please contact XYZ Emergency Clinic at 867-5309" message? Because this might be a simple "Oh, yeah, we did give fluids, that sounds ok". But I sure would want a vet. to confirm that. Then again, how likely is it that the Emergency clinic might possibly have after hours contact info for your regular vet, and be able to ask for sure?
ETA: [link] That is the handiest checklist of symptoms indicating emergency care is needed for cats that I have found. It does mention lumps changing appearance - specifically in size, shape or color - not moving around. I think in your shoes, I'd try to call the vet who treated him today, but failing that, I would carefully monitor for further developments rather than go to the E-vet right off the bat.
