I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hil, you can trick peaches by putting them in a small, paper bag to ripen quicker. I buy several and put one or two at a time in a bag, that way, I have one ready to eat each day. You could always experiment with different breeds of apples.

you are not jealous , ws. I just weight a few bricks. they weigh about 6 lbs a piece.

I envy you the bricks, not so much the workout.

I took my Benedryl but yeesh, I am not keen on the itchy throat that I am *still* feeling.

Also, I do not envy Cass her itchy throat feeling.

Our wings are not tired

Skipping to say that it has been foggy and yet the scenery on this cruise is still amazing. Okay. Off to see an Andrew Lloyd Weber revue. Yes. I'm working.

The status is NOT quo.

Are you going to be online later, sweetie?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oooh, very much Benedryl made me sleepy. That almost never happens. Mmmm, sleepy.

Shortest lived sleepiness ever.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Fruit discussion. Hmm. I have a pot of supermarket-bought blackberries that I swear have been genetically modified - they're bigger than my thumb. Apparently they sometimes use polystyrene 'tunnels' to make these things grow bigger. The things you learn researching large blackberries.

I have a physiotherapy appointment in about five minutes (she's coming to my house). This is amusing because the subject of my dissertation research is physiotherapy and social concepts of disability (specifically, whether physiotherapists are trained in the latter). Can't wait to see how she does.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Rice cakes and cheese.

Damn. Just heard that I didn't get the teaching bursary which was my last best hope for PhD funding for the coming academic year. I wasn't really expecting to get it, as competition for this year's funding has been ridiculous (recession-related, I think, at least partly), but it's a bit of a shame. Time to start the funding applications round for 2010 onwards...

That's too bad, Seska. Good luck with other funding sources.
