'Objects In Space'
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
She has a Spock corset!
because the travel cases cost more than a new toothbrush? I ended up buying a "travel" toothbrush with a hollow handle, so it's a case and a toothbrush in one!
Couldn't even find those. ::is grumpy::
Jessica, I think Jilli has one like that.
Huh. That is so pretty it could draw attention away from your boobs....
That's okay. Starbuck and Boomer need a rest on occasion.

I think you're right - isn't she wearing one in the Gothic Charm School videos?

Yes - she wears this for Special Occasions to the club. It always causes envious comment. I highly recommend it for everyone. (Well, for all values of female everyones; while some men can pull off cinchers or corsets, most cannot, and SHOULD NOT TRY.)
(grump) Women get all the best clothes. Makes me understand drag queens, though not enough to be one.
Next book I sell, I'm buying another corset.
Of course, I have to wear the one I currently own somewhere. (My planned Prom outfit is still hanging on my door. Perhaps next year.)

I've always thought that, even as a kid.
I don't have a corset yet. Woe. Don't really have the $$ to buy one now, either, what with the f2f and a long bellydance workshop coming up and my phone pooping out. Too bad, since that one is on sale.
Jilli - I heartily approve of the True Blood TV series, myself. I find the books oddly compelling (although often that compulsion is of the punch-Sookie-in-the-face variety), but I genuinely like the show. It's got a good ensemble, and I like the music (theme tune's catchy as hell) and the cinematography a lot. Lafayette and Tara (and Tara's mum) and Hoyt are probably my favourite characters. And Sam. And Gran. Erik and Pam are fab (especially Pam). Bill and Sookie... are probably the part I'm least interested in, really, but I don't dislike either of them*. And I surprise myself by finding Jason terribly disarming - frequent nekkidness notwithstanding (although it garnered vocal opprobrium as well as fervent appreciation), I think he gives a very good performance, and I think his character arc is FAR more interesting in the show than in the books.
LOVED the peacock corset. (Gasp!) And the X-ray one too, because it's cool as hell, but I have a particular soft spot for peacocks.
*on the show. I'm not going to love the hell out of Sookie any time soon, but the performance is not without its charm, and the writing is better, and because she's no longer the lens through which we see everything, Sookie's much less annoying on screen, imho, than on the page. But YMMV.
