I can haz internets! Yay, for unsecured networks!
My sister and I had this conversation a couple days ago. My step-dad was using my wireless from next door and mentioned that the neighbor across the road had appreciated it when his service was down. We both have always left our wireless open. We both live on lakes where people come to recreate from time to time and if they happen to have their laptops and discover the access that's ok. We figure it is paying it forward for all the times we have been out and about and appreciated being able to get on line. Our actual computers are secure and it isn't like it is a constant drain on resources, just the occasional visitor.
Another rainy day. Boys are still in bed. They would sleep until mid-afternoon every day if I didn't hassle them. When it is rainy and cold like this I let them be and enjoy the quiet.

re: Messrs. Browder and Shanks.

I second that (faint).
The ant close-up is icky upon first viewing, but after looking at the really really close-ups, it starts to be beautiful. (Close-ups of humans are pretty icky, too, I have to say.) I heart GigaPan, and NanoGigaPan, which I didn't even know about!
I love the idea of a huge, continent-spanning ant colony! Like the fungus that covered many square miles.
Gronk. Boss guilts me into coming to work *early* to do a meeting about job description and review process. I show up 45 minutes early, to find an e-mail saying he got a last minute executive meeting, and needs to reschedule. Le sigh.
IOwhinyN, I'm down to my last episode of Dr. Who season 3 for streaming. After that, Netflix is being MEAN and making me watch via DVD. No all day marathon possible. I gotta wait for the DVD's to show up. Not fair! Can someone make them stream the other seasons???

and the judgment included the observation that "it is well known that necking often leads to formication."
I'm not certain you can be forgiven for that, William.
Have returned from Target. Spent in the three figure vicinity. And would someone please explain why the frell it's so difficult to find the travel cases for toothbrushes these days? None at Target, none at the grocery store. Walgreen's next-- if I strike out there, it'll be a ziploc for the toothbrushes.

because the travel cases cost more than a new toothbrush? I ended up buying a "travel" toothbrush with a hollow handle, so it's a case and a toothbrush in one!
Re: Ben Browder, here's possibly my favorite Crichton-is-insane clip from Farscape: [link].
Nope. Still prefer the insane-fu from "Look at the Princess".
What I find really annoying is when you get a travel case for a toothbrush and the only toothbrushes in any store are too big/too long to fit in the case. snarl
Crichton in "Crackers Don't Matter". THAT'S a crazy Crichton.
I wish I had the height and build to pull off a good Scorpius cosplay. Ah, well. I'll just channel him in the dark recesses of my brain and snicker. Makes Jilli edge away from me at the club. Victory!
