I have a lot of thoughts on the way that kid is being raised, but they basically come down to thinking there's no harm in raising a toddler without imposing a gender on him/her. That said, at some point the kid will want to assert his/her gender, or a gender.

But I also think kids like to play with gender constructs. You'd need to be pretty aggressively rigid in policing a kid's gender to avoid that kind of play. Of course, I notice a lot of Isaac's friends ARE fairly closely monitored by their parents, but I don't know if it's unconscious or intentional.

i've been sleeping with a humidifer! I live in the pacific NW! it is naturally humid here! There should be zero nosebleeds. Yuck. I blame the weeing cat for everything right now.

I had tiramisu tonight too, at Juliana's restaurant! It was yummy.

It's 2:40 am, and I'm craving bacon. I have 2 packs in the fridge, but I don't think my waist would like me eating bacon at this hour.

I have just ordered yummy Thai food, and frozen banana slices dipped in Belgian milk chocolate.

I just danced my feet off. Ow. They hurt now. But I did have a good time. And yummy carrot cake that the lesbians brought in for someone's birthday. I ended up staying after the country dancing for the regular dancing, because they started with like, five Michael Jackson songs in a row (after the country dancing ended with a line dance to "Thriller"...I think it would've been cooler if we did the Thriller dance as a line dance, but ah well)
