We are preempting tv shows to discuss Michael Jackson's exceedingly un-surprising death?
I was startled too. Also startled by the speed by which everyone can react, but I shouldn't be. I wonder why CBS decided to move The Mentalist and not show Criminal Minds.
Finally caught up on recorded tv news. I can't believe mj got 1/3 of the nightly news on NBC tonight. FF got 3 minutes. Dude! There is a revolution in Iran. A "coup"in NY, two wars, an AWOL governor, an economy, etc., and you put 1/3 of the broadcast to an obit of someone who hasn't had a hit in over a decade!!

I have brain bubbles. Took an ambien two hours ago to try to combat jetlag insomnia, but instead can't turn off brain, which is functioning very weirdly. World is a bit bendy like I'm on a boat. Waves where there shouldn't be waves. Not crazy, but disoriented and needing sleep, which won't come. Stupid pill.
Also am annoyed that I have to call my dentist again tomorrow because the filling they did on the tip of my front tooth is now chipped off for the third time in three weeks. Argh!
bad tooth, no cookie! Sorry to hear your head is not cooperating. I know the feeling well. Although, without the sleep aids. Pretend I'm signing you a lullaby. I'm hoping your imagination of my singing is better than reality.
I'm sorry MJ died. But when I tuned in to Countdown and The Rachel Maddow Show, I really wanted to learn more about the situation in Iran, upcoming health care legislation, the status of the new US energy policy bill, and whether any more Rep. politicians had been caught screwing around. Two hours of "lots of people are upset and MJ had a really screwed up life" were about 1 hour and 55 minutes too many.
1:58 too many.
Yes, I should be asleep. Internal clock completely wonky.
Urgh. Had really bizarre dreams last night. Have Sudafed hangover and a fiery throat.
BLEAH
Must be bad brain day. Mine was out of sync in a most odd way. I was listening to outside sounds in time delay where first I would dream/imagine myself listening to the sound then a number of seconds later actually hear. Hard to explain but the idea of my experiences were out of sync with the actualization. Disconcerting.
Does anyone else watch Real Housewives?
I've never seen it, but I have to try and catch it. The mom of a boy staying with us asked me about it because she grew up there. Makes her crazy because of inaccuracy, but still can't help being sucked in when the hair salon is where she had her hair done for her wedding, etc.
Swedish entry for Britain's Got Talent.
Something we'll probably never see on the US version.
I can only imagine if they ever do a Real Housewives of Miami what it'll be like. Or rather, what it won't be like. If the NJ version is big with the mob allusions/association, then the Miami version would be Latina princesses who bear absolutely no resemblance to anyone I knew growing up.
