Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

On the lentils thing: I generally like brown or green lentils to be a bit mushy, but still have some bite to them, but I cook red lentils until they're total mush.

The status is NOT quo.

Just popping in to say that we have landed in Boston, and I have already been mocked by a middle-aged busdriver. Ah, it's good to be home.

Our wings are not tired.

Good to read the positive report, Anne. Best wishes for your friend.

Made my lunch for tomorrow -- leftover lentils and rice, asparagus, cherries, and blackberries. Summer is nice. Also made swiss chard fritatta for breakfast, which looks very pretty and tastes good, but totally crumbles apart when I try to serve it.

Catching up on news while at f2f. OMG cookie dough!!

Also some airlines charging an aditional $5 if you wait until check in to pay the checked bag fee! WTF???

With all that, I'm still hearing very little of what is going on in Albany! Cmon news! It's huge!!

From Real Housewives of New Jersey, I have learned that I'm not actually from Jersey. Because according to quite a few of the people on this show, everyone from Jersey has seen someone flip a table, and, as far as I can recall, I've never seen anyone do that.

“Not dead yet!”

Sudafed and Food Netwrok make for interesting TV.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

One of my co-workers tends to ROFLMAO at my e-mails. She does it so often that I now pronounce it in my head "rofflemow."

Me too! I also pronounce "XOXO" like "sho-sho", like faux-Chinese. Does anyone else pronounce XOXO in their heads as if it were a word and not some weird acronym-like thing?

Does anyone else watch Real Housewives? Because it sure sounded like one of them just accused another of putting a hit out on her.

Why did the choice for the NJ Housewives have to be people with (rumored) mob connections? Can we possibly have a reality show with people from NJ who have no connection to the mafia whatsoever? Even Cake Boss, where I don't think there's anything about the main people on the show, ended up making a cake for a mob party on their second or third episode.
