The money was too good. I got stupid.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

When do they recommend women get amnios? After 35?

Yeah. Lots of people don't do it, but we want to know if there are any problems.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm glad it is over, GC. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. The whole thing just turns my stomach.

They wanted me to get an amnio but I refused. Told them it wouldn't make any difference in how I proceeded, so why bother. They could take all the blood they wanted. Also, chickenshit. I wouldn't have an epidural for the same reason. Big needle phobic. I've learned to deal with blood draws, but that's it. Don't suggest an IV to me.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

When do they recommend women get amnios? After 35?

Well. I'd recommend you wait until you're pregnant, at least.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I had the amnio both times GC and found it a relief, but then again, I got good news both times. I recommend watching the U/S screen rather than the needle. Baby tv!

Depending on where you live GC I would recommend my OB practice. I really like the U/S technician.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

The appointment is over and I'm glad. I hated his office (would have even w/o the gay thing hanging over it). The nurse wouldn't leave the room when I got changed, he and his nurse had zero bedside manner, they never addressed DW once (hell, they barely addressed me)

GC, I second (third) the urge to talk to your doctor about this. Politics aside, his office was unfriendly and unprofessional. The nurse not leaving the room is of particular concern to me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wouldn't leave while you changed? That's crazy! Be sure and review this guy honestly wherever you can - your insurance company's website, to your actual doctor, anywhere else you can think of.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

When I start interviewing, should I get fake nails?

I wouldn't think so, unless your nails look bad from biting or whatever.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My body needs to seriously stop freaking out. I don't know if it is lingering from the ick, walking too much last week, or just travel in general, and really I don't care. I just want it to calm the fuck down. t /rant

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

When I start interviewing, should I get fake nails?

Yes, if you're applying for the job of assassin, and your fake nails are razor sharp and made of titanium.
