I wanna die in bed surrounded by fat grandchildren, but guess that's off the menu.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Hmmm...I'm in a class right now where our project is to come up with a person who revolutionized something

John Williams?

Seth McFarland?

The inventor of the bendy straw?

Happy Birthday, Teppy! (Are you no longer advertising your birthday weeks and months in advance? I kind of liked the buildup in past years!)

Cat people: recommend me an OTC flea treatment for our indoor cat. I have seen one flea and she has these black particles in her fur that Google is telling me are flea shit. I want to knock the fleas out totally, but not deal with anything too toxic. Do you think I need to do something to the house? We have limited carpeting, and I haven't seen fleas except on the cat. Yet. (Did I note that this is an indoor cat? Who runs out of the house occasionally an is always recaptured within 2 minutes? WTF, fleas?)

Coding and Sleeping

I would hit the carpet just in case. There could be flea eggs.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy birthday, Teppalicious!!!!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Happy Birthday, Teppy!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Happy Birthday, Teppy! (Are you no longer advertising your birthday weeks and months in advance? I kind of liked the buildup in past years!)

It sort of snuck up on me this year. I *must* be getting old!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies Teppy!!!

move out and draw fire

Suggestions always welcome!

Issac Newton? Albert Einstein? Benoît Mandelbrot?

Taken, taken, and good one! Max Planck just made my list also.

Today is also the 6th anniversary of Second Life (Happy SL6B), which might have been timed to coincide with Turing's birthday. Or Kinsey's.

Raq, your 'revolutionary' assignment put me in mind of Colin McKenzie, the subject of Peter Jackson's Forgotten Silver. A film I highly recommend. Jackson tells a compelling story about this cinematic visionary who revolutionized celluloid. Except, he didn't. Sam Neill and Leonard Maltin lend gravitas. I loved it.
