Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

And risk getting pregnant?!

Steele Boning does not wait nine months for a baby. Steele Boning expels the baby with EXPLOSIVE FORCE!!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Congrats on sproggen!!!

Roasted parsnips are yum. I blanch them in boiling milk (soy milk works just fine) then drizzle in olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, roast, and dress with fresh honey. Super delish.

Vodka is fantastic for cleaning/deodorizing anything that is not washable. Wardrobe trick is 1 pt water to 1 pt cheap vodka (don't waste the good stuff) : spray on the INSIDE of the garment to not quite saturation, allow to dry completely before wearing. Repeat if necessary. Also very useful on home furnishings, esp if you have animals. (this is why every theatre wardrobe department has gallons of cheap vodka sitting around.)

“Not dead yet!”

Okay, my turn for some travel ~ma and some unspecified good thoughts ~ma.

ND, glad you made it back.

Shir, good thoughts on your letter. I'm sure it's every bit as fabulous as you are.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Congrats to GC and DW!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Academia~ma to Shir. ND, I'm glad you made it home for a while. Barb, I'm home for two weekends in a row (something that hasn't happened for a while) and I'll gladly forward you all my travel~ma.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

So I seem to have caught some of ND's travel jinx, as I am NOT, in fact, presently sitting on a 'plane in mid air.

sighs

I am still hoping to make it to Seattle for the weekend, but all is not going according to plan.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Travel -ma for Barb and Fay!

Will someone please inform my stomach that I don't have time for it to freak out today? I have a ton of errands and packing to do, dinner with TCG's family tonight, and then we're flying out tomorrow.
