I'm getting all stressed out about writing my dissertation. Stress is no fun.

sorry, hon! I would offer to help, but all I could do is make sure that you have subject verb agreement :)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I made fondue for lunch tomorrow. I don't know why I've been on this fake cheese kick lately. I'm usually not really into fake foods, but the past week or so, I've just really wanted cheese.

Hee. Thanks anyway. Right now, almost nothing is actually written -- I've got probably at least 30 pages or so of stuff, but it's in about 15 different files and several emails and I'm not even sure which of it is relevant and which isn't. Once I get to the end of the summer, I'm going to have to go through all of it and get it organized. Right now I'm focusing more on getting some more results, so that I'll have actual content to organize in August.

Congrats to GC & DW!!! Woot! That is awesome news!!

Drew, I'm hoping the radio silence means you are in the air. Dear god! It sounds like a Dateline episode.

Remember how I asked about getting that real desk about 6 months ago? Yup, getting bumped. Not a big deal, as I'll be moving into a new office once the building is complete, it's just the timing really sucks. As I am all day/evening tuning the sound system in the new building, then jetting away on vacation, they e-mail me letting me know my desk is getting taken over. Really? Um. Couldn't have planned this out a LITTLE in advance so I could clear the desk. I'm moving over to the off-site space, where I need to clean out the sound storage area anyhow.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

But the biggest thing was I need to work on my confidence and I think now I feel much more confident.

In the time I've known you, Askye, it seems to have skyrocketed.

The status is NOT quo.

I am back at LAX waiting for Drew. His flight was originally supposed to land at 8:43. Last I'd checked before leaving the house, it was delayed to 10:08. Got here 15 minutes ago, and now it's saying 10:44. Could be worse. I once sat here waiting for him until 3 in the morning the night before I was scheduled to leave to chaperone a weeklong canoeing/camping trip. Yeah, that was three years ago. Early days in the relationship when I was crazy. This is much more doable.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

My cat likes sleeping on my laptop. He finds things that I didn't even know existed. I guess he is teaching me.

Ha! I recall the time I picked him up from Burbank. Timed it PERFECT! Saw his plane land from the exit about an hour early. Then proceeded to drive laps around the airport waiting for him to get a gate. Finally parked on a side side street. I think total wait was about 90 minutes. Which was CRAZY for a perfectly timed arrival on my part, and an hour early arrival on the planes part. Poor ND. Not always the best luck with the air travel.

law of averages, I would guess. the more that you travel, the more you'll get screwed.

Hivemind: best way to clean a corset with steel boning? one side is irridescent satin, one side is cordouroy. it's reversible, I tend to wear it satin side out, but I think I'll switch it for prom. thoughts on cleaning? I seem to remember something with vodka in the costume shop.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Apropos of nothing, Steele Boning would be an excellent porn name. (And, by coincidence, he too could potentially be reversible.)
