Is a TENS machine similar to what they use at the chiropractor's?
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy Birthday to askye!
Yay for TENS. It is very good to read that it is supplying relief.
many chiros use a more complex TENS unit - it's basically four patches hooked to wires that delivers an electric signal through certian muscles (depending on where the patches are applied) and sometimes provides pain relief by confusing the brain with electric signals that it somehow interprets as "significantly less pain" rather than "wierd tense tingle". It is magic. I heart mine on the days/nights when the pain prevents thinking, much less more complex activities like standing or walking.
Happy birthday, askye!
A TENS machine was one of the options for pain relief during childbirth. (We went with the drugs.)
Hubby loves his TENS unit, except when a lead comes loose from one of the pads and the charge wanders through his body instead of going to the other pad of its pair. He had me try it once, and I couldn't cope with the level he uses it on. It's like an odd massage.
Happy Birthday, askye!!!

Remember that really cute dress I ordered?
Well effing Pyramid Collection shipped it to the billing address instead of the shipping address I gave them. So I will not get the dress on time since the only time my post office is open that I am not at work in on fucking saturday and I will be in Seattle this weekend, and next weekend I will be at the wedding in Illinois.
Their stuff is very cute, but their shipping is shit and I have never had an order not have a problem (or a series of problems) and will never buy anything from them again.
My only hope at this point is the slim possibility that a roommate will be home when it comes AND that the mailman will actually ring the freaking bell instead of just leaving the slip.
The other faint possibility is finding someone who will be home during the day and getting the slip to them and them doing my a humongous fucking favor since the post office isn't exactly around the corner and lines there are always hell (which could have something to do with them having very few fucking hours in which they are actually open.)
This day already started off lame when I got to the desk I'm covering today and the secretary who is absent (and one of the most annoying people I've ever met) didn't have a desk profile. Not only is this a major sin in the eyes of TPTB, I was faced with phones I could not anwer because I had no idea who I was answering for or who belongs to what extension. I could slap this persnickity chick upside the head for putting me in this position.
I finally tracked down a profile from someone else on the floor who covers her phones. I have also swiped two of her Excedrin and may stick a few in my purse as well -- bitch owes me.

Happy b-day Askye!
Hil, glad to hear something is helping with the pain management. Bonus that it's not drugs, so I'm guessing no side effects? When I get to a real terminal I'll have to look TENS up.
ND, I hope the flight went well, and the meetings were calm.
I'm back on construction site. 13 hours yesterday. Legs still tired.
