Our wings are not tired.

Oh, Drew, I am sorry about the airline crap. I know how awful it can be. United gave me a check, too, when they screwed me over entirely when I was trying to get back to my wayward puppy.

And thank you for the birthday wishes, peeps! I've had a lovely 30 hours and am tahhhhrd now. Steve is asleep on the couch so our plans of seeing "Up" or "The Hangover" tonight might not turn out. Thass okay.

I don't see the point in freaking out on the airlines on this. They overbooked and then it cascaded and from there it's been really bad luck. Summer is just crazy booking, and everyone I've dealt with has totally wanted to do anything they can, there's just nothing you can do when things are this booked. The flight I'm currently confirmed with a seat assignment for to LAX has a standby list of 86 people. The plane only holds something like 130 people total.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, Drew. Best wishes for the rest of your journey.

Right now I think I've got about a 70% chance of making it back to LAX and a 40% chance of actually getting on the red eye to Orlando tonight.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Travel~ma, Drew!

Olivia told Christopher this week that "Mommy drives fast when she's mad." She's going to pay for that one.

No way I'm going to make my connection. Flight is now listed as departing at 9:30. They are talking about boarding and the way is long enough for a telephone agent that I'm going to have to wait until I'm in LA and can line up at the CSA desk for another few hours to see what my options are for getting to Orlando.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

What an awful pain in the ass, ND. Maybe you're suffering every ill of the airline industry today so we can all get to the f2f without incident.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Drew, this is so awful for you. Glad you're being philosophical about it; I'd be ballistic by now if I were you.

At this point I just hope to be able to get to Orlando sometime tomorrow. If they can get me on a red eye to Chicago or something like that I might have some chance of getting there by noonish.

Christ ND, still awful. In my fantasy they spring for a charter jet at this point. In the real world, I hope things work out.
