Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Are you sure your life isn't a sit-com, ND?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Nah, if ND's life were a sitcom, he'd have an implausibly hot girlfriend and a bunch of clever wacky friends... oh wait.

Our wings are not tired

I am now waiting on a flight to LAX. This flight was scheduled to depart at 2:17 but is now delayed until 6:30. That's the only reason I'm on it, two seats opened up while I was standing at customer service so they were able to toss me on it right away. Hopefully this one won't be cancelled too. Right now I'm scheduled to finally arrive in Orlando at 6:30 tomorrow morning, then I go straight into a day of meetings and work, and I've been up since 6:00 AM today.

I did score some Ghiradelli Chocolate by my new gate though. They now have an equivalent to a Peanut Butter cup, only in their little squares. Yum.

Ghirardelli chocolate does make a multitude of troubles fade.

“Not dead yet!”

I was gonna say.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The Cincy Men's Chorus was in the gazebo with us, and promptly started singing "Yellow Submarine," followed by "It's Raining Men."

DH declares this to be AWESOME.

Good chocolate can go a long way to salve the soul but damn, that is some serious travel fuckus you've got going there, NoiseDesign.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

1) Ryan is adorable

2) ND - that is some serious bad luck, mate

3)

Croissant and jam with a big pot of piping hot Yorkshire Tea.

Yorkshire Tea! For Yorkshire water!!!

is awash with nostalgia

Must. Go. To. Work...

Yeah, this is up there with some of the worst travel I've had. Years and years ago I finally arrived at my destination 14 hours behind schedule on a bus chartered by the airline.

Thing is, if you fly a lot it's just a matter of time before the odds catch up with you and you get the crazy cancellations. Mine seem to have all just happened on one trip.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Drew, I hope the radio silence means you are on the plane. WTF!! Why did they fly you north, to fly you to Orlando? At least fly to DFW, half way there. Crazy frakkin airlines. I hope things go better for you, and tomorrow is an easy day of meetings. In the meantime, they better bump you up to 1st class for free on everything or something. Vouchers out the wazzoo. That puts you in town like 24 hours past due, for a business trip. Be the squeaky wheel!

ION. Went window shopping for bikes with some friends. Did a test ride of a 3 speed trike. OMG. On the flat section it was WHEeeeeeee! On the slight inclines it was OMGWTF! I almost got stuck in the little dual ramp of a rain gulley because the left pedal was in the up position, and the right leg is the stronger, and needed the right leg to help push up the little incline. Clearly, I need to do a *LOT* of exercise bike riding before I make this purchase. And the 1500 feet of riding that I did, ya, I felt it. Not Ouch forever, but Ooooh, there are muscles there, in a precursor fashion.

ETA strike thru due to cross posty action. {{{DREW}}}
