Angel: Eve. So, I guess we should, I don't know, talk? Eve: About what? Angel: About what happened back there with us. Eve: Angel, it's not like this is the first time I've had sex under a mystical influence. I went to U.C. Santa Cruz.

'Life of the Party'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Much safety~ma to you, sj. And some ~ma of the "maybe, just maybe this is the wake-up call that that family needed to change how they work things out" variety for the family upstairs.

You know, I think I have to join ZenKitty in envying d. Sounds perfectly wonderful.

And I'm glad you made it safely, Laura.

move out and draw fire

I just made watermelon gazpacho for lunch. It was my first time using my new spiffy red immersion blender, which is very awesome.

The soup is pretty good - watermelon, almonds, garlic, and a bit of seasoning. Not to everyone's taste but I quite liked it.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hi everyone!

Andi and I just came back from eating at a new place in town. They specialize in a cheese-filled burger called a "Juicy Lucy."

We ordered the Jucy Lucy and drinks and sat down at a table in the mall outside of the main cafe. There was disco music playing inside, and it drifted out as we sat and chatted.

I mentally noted "I love the nightlife," always seemed repetitive and talked on.

After a while Andi said "This song has been playing since we got in here." I countered that it just seemed that way. Then it finished....and started again.

Oh Alicia Bridges, we knew you loved the nightlife, and that you got to boogie, but do you have to tell us so often?

One of Andi's coworkers happened to be there as well, and we brought it up to her.

Eventually Andi went to let them know and got our Juicy Lucy burgers. It was at that point I realized we had not been asked for payment, and went up and paid our tab.

Soon after that, the music changed to other 70's disco tunes.

It may have been a ploy to get me to pay, or it may have been Andi asking them about the endlessness.

The world may never know.

One of Andi's cow orkers happened to be there as well, and we brought it up to her.

Nah, she's a proper coworker. Incidentally she was highly amused at the disco selection too, fearing she might start doing some Saturday Night Fever moves inexplicably during her shift later in the day.

What I found truly frightening was Daniel's ability to identify all the other disco songs within the first two measures. Where's Tom Kennedy when you need him?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Absolutely torrential downpour happening here. Probably the same travelin' rain that was in Dallas a couple days ago.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Maybe it was a social experiment, to find out how long it would take for people to notice.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Awww, Jucy Lucys! Man Vs. Food just did a thing on MSP, and Matt's Bar (the originator of Jucy Lucy) was the first place he went. Those are so tasty. And awesome.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gronk. We're home. The Jekyll version of our neighbor apologized for her behavior, and has promised that nothing like that will ever happen again. I'm skeptical, but taking the wait and see approach.

Our wings are not tired.

I really hope that the police and landlord have impressed upon her how completely unacceptable that behavior was.
