I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I ended up not speaking to the majority of my family for 12 years.

So what was the bad part?

t projecting own issues

did anyone see the Obama note for the 10 year old for missing school? [link]

I think it's great. Plus, no date on the note! She can re-use it for years!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Ginger, ha! My sister wasn't shunning me, so it was just the situation with my mom that really hurt. The rest of my family was no loss.

Barb, you know I've thought about it, but I figured it would never sell! Hell, that's not even the whole story. Drugs! Sex! Black Magic! ... well, D&D, anyway.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks JZ, I find him charming and wonderful too. As for my sister, I think she has projected onto him a whole host of issues that don't have much to do with him. I always hope that, as she deals with her issues, she'll eventually come to see he's a good guy.

the Obama note for the 10 year old for missing school

ha! That is pretty awesome, although I have to say I can imagine to myself how much that kind of thing bugs the shit out of Obama's detractors. He's constantly making all these showy displays of what an affable, charming guy he is. When Dubya tried that kind of stunt it always backfired, like that time Merkel cringed when he touched her.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I can imagine to myself how much that kind of thing bugs the shit out of Obama's detractors.

You don't have to imagine. The first comment I saw was someone saying that it was "obviously staged."

Everyone else has given the advice I would have.

Maybe your brain feels it's in a safe place and can process all the stresses you've recently gone through.

Ha! I'm going with the theory that my brain is just trying to mess with me, because hello, my life is a bit stressful right now, so I would really rather not have any more stress dreams! However, I am taking a small measure of comfort that the stress dreams are of the zombie apocalypse variety, instead of the I'm stuck working retail again flavor.

The thing is, as far as I can tell, Obama IS an affable, charming guy. Shrub ... NSM.
