Angel: Is that what you think you are--a hero? Spike: Saved the world didn't I? Angel: Once. Talk to me after you've done it a couple more times.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Well, she's snarky enough to be one, eh?

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

In petty meme news, I had the most horrible night of anxiety dreams/nightmares I have had in a long time. I don't pick up my new nightguard until next week, and apparently I was clenching my teeth so hard that I've given myself a killer head/jaw ache. Oh, and I woke up convinced that Drew doesn't really love me and the wedding was off and I left a class completely alone while they were taking a test because I found this all out in the middle of the school day. @@ Seriously, brain??

Doubly obnoxious, because you weren't having a bad night last night (that I could tell).

The status is NOT quo.

Nope, that's what's been so weird. I've been going through a patch of horrible dreams for the past couple of weeks when things have actually been going well and I've been in a good place. No idea why my brain hates me.

FWIW, I had a bunch of dreams like that right after TCG and I were engaged. Brains are weird.

Maybe your brain feels it's in a safe place and can process all the stresses you've recently gone through.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good luck to you both, Seska. I've been where your Girl is. It's hard as hell, for both partners. I ended up not speaking to the majority of my family for 12 years.

(I gave them a quadruple whammy, though. I was living in multiple sin with a girl and a black guy at the same time, while working as a stripper. This, shortly after I graduated from an ivy league college. My mom had a total prayer meltdown when I told her.)

I couldn't SELL that as a novel. Editors would reject it as too unbelievable.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm so sorry Seska. That kind of family shit is always so hard on both the individuals and the relationship. I cannot understand why family do that, they must not realize how much it hurts the family member they are trying to "protect."

My sister decided at some point (after my parents died) that she hates my DH and she tried to exclude him from everything having to do with the estate. This led to all sorts of horribly cruel behavior that I won't get into. It was a hard few years for us and I always felt that I was in a bind, damned if I do and damned if I don't. Every choice came down to deciding who to offend, my sister or my husband. Luckily it has gotten better in the last few years.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Is Catwoman a Buffista?

And, if so, which one (Buffista OR Catwoman, it doesn't matter)?
