Heh. Though in this economy, it's quite possible they've already gone to school.
Buffy ,'Lessons'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Vortex, I gave my delivery guys a rather large tip ($10 each) because I wanted them to take my old couch down the two flights to the dumpster. I probably could have gotten away with $5 each, but I didn't want them to refuse. When I had my previous couch delivered, I didn't give them any tip at all, but I was only a few steps up the stairs and they didn't have an old couch to remove.
sj, no - there's a lift. But the front door is extremely heavy, apparently for security reasons - it's near-impossible to open from a wheelchair, and I'm prone to dislocated shoulders, so I can't risk it. The building management company are currently ignoring our lawyer's advice that they have to sort it out. We're wondering how long they can do that for...
That's super frustrating. I hope that they can figure it out soon.

Very very true.
Speaking of, Joe started back to school yesterday! I am very very proud of him. Woohoo! We will no longer be the least educated people in our circles of friends!!

Oh yay for Joe! Remember that "least educated" rarely correlates with "least smart".
Remember that "least educated" rarely corrolates with "least smart".
Oh totally!!
Ha! I thought "corrolates" lookt funny so I went back and spelt it korrecly and now you done kept it for pasteritee.
We don't tip furniture moving people in the UK (yes, we are cheap, - I liked the tipping culture much better, when I lived in the US - I still tip food delivery people a lot more than is usual here). Also, our friends did the shifting of the furniture us when we moved, and we tipped them an extremely large amount of pizza and coke. But couches up stairs sounds like a good-tip-worthy thing.
sj, thanks - I hope so too! In the meantime, we have that much unpacking, making angry calls to phone companies, etc to do that I'm not particularly inclined to leave the flat too often. So that's something. I think.
Aims, congrats for Joe - what's he going to be studying?
