Interview~~ma Nora!!
And congrats, VW!! You smart thing, you!!!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Interview~~ma Nora!!
And congrats, VW!! You smart thing, you!!!
yeah, you would think that they would let you know.
They asked, "Oh, didn't you get the letter?"
Um... no. If I had and intended to remain a patient, don't you think I would have done something about it?
The thing that really frosts my cookies about it is the blasé, "Well, you can just reregister as a new patient," routine. I mean, Lewis is a patient there, my in-laws are patients there, I've been a patient there-- you'd think there would be some proviso for expediting a reregistration.
Big hugs for GC and wife.
Thanks to you awesome people for the birthday wishes.
This Erin is a Buffista, right?
Yes.
I thought so! She also shows up as a Person I May Know on Facebook.
It's been a hell of a week at Chez Neil.
I was scheduled to work on Memorial Day. I was looking forward to it, major holidays are perfect for watching DVDs at work. At 2 AM, however, I wake up with chills and heat all over my body like I'd taken a megadose of niacin. Having a worried cat plastered against me didn't help. Temp of 101.
Doc the next morning diagnoses a virus of some sort in my lungs, thankfully not influenza. So I get a note to take two days off from work to lay around feeling shaky and cold and hot and blah.
Come to work Wednesday, discover what looks like a bug bite on my leg--yay, Hubby, for insisting I join everyone for the Mem Day bbq in the backyard--that has developed a worrisome rash. I don't need opportunistic infections when I've got a virus in my lungs. Take Wednesday afternoon off to trundle back to the docs.
Discover that my white blood count is "almost normal." Yay. Also that somewhere along the lines of this I've sprained my ankle. Probably a stumble sometime while I groggily made my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
So today my lungs feel fine, the bug bite is lightly prickling, and my ankle is advocating for removal.
And my period started.
I would like something to knock me out for the next three days so I don't have to put up with this until Monday, when I go in to watch over Hubby as he gets his elbow operated on.
Decade of the '00s? You're on The List.
Happy birthday, Sean!
Thanks for the sympathies, all. I am at work today and finding it very difficult to stay on task. Not to mention my pounding headache. Oy. In good news, a co-worker brought in really good banana bread.
Interview~ma to you, Nora.
Congrats to vw!
Glad you're on the mend and that your babe is sleeping, Sparky.
Happy Birthday, Sean!!
ChiKat, I think if they said yesterday, it would be ok to contact them today. Don't take my word for it, though. What do others think? Job~ma for you.
connie, I hope the next few days are not as bad as you think they are going to be. Get well soon.
Yay, Sparky and baby!
What a pain in the ass, Barb.
Go, Nora! Interview~ma for you.
Thanks for the ~ma, I think it went fine. It was a phone screen, so it was only about 15 minutes but I think I did pretty well, I definitely communicated what I wanted to.
Question: since it was only a 15 minute phone screen, is it too much to send a thank you note (interoffice, she'll get it tomorrow) or will an email do?
I'd think an e-mail would do, but I don't think a thank you note would be bad if you really want to send one. When we were interviewing candidates, I usually only got an e-mail from the candidate afterward, and that was for more than a 15-minute phone screen!
