Hello? Gay now!

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Glamcookie, I've been thinking about you and DW all morning. It's bullshit that they can somehow say it's okay for *some* gay people to be married, but then no more.

Still -- I'm thrilled for the 2 of you! Are you relieved?

(Am I being inappropriate? I don't mean to be.)

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Totally stupid, right? Either you can or you can't. CA Supreme Court trying to have it both ways. Where's the fucking protest?

I am and I'm totally not. Hard to explain. Just furious all over again.

Oh god. I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to be inappropriate and offensive. I'm very sorry that I was.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

The court decided it did not have the power to overturn prop 8 because the proposition amends the constitution. I don't understand why the court can't say that voters don't have the power to change the constitution to deprive one group of civil rights but I am hpoeful that the next election will have a ballot initiative to restore the right to marry for everyone.

Trust my rage

It's not personal for me, obviously, but I feel like this decision sort of cheapens marriage for everyone by making it a "Come now! Act Fast! Limited Time Offer!" sort of thing. That's just my initial reaction. I guess I should go read their decision.

Teppy, not at all. Totally not inappropriate or anything close to it. All my anger are belong to CA Supreme Court and proponents of Prop 8.

I'm sorry for killing the thread. My anger is down to a simmer now. Guess I'm pulling out the old posters for yet another protest tonight.

Okay. I just posted and then you posted and said "eff off," and I assumed you meant *I* should eff off.

Sorry about that. Totally not directed at you - was directed at CA Supreme Court. Edited so as not to confuse anyone else.
