[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

We have Bertuccis around here - I don't think I've eaten in one, but I've seen them.

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmmm Macaroni Grill. I am easy, not that this surprises anyone. I almost always enjoy eating out chain/fancy/diner.

The only truly awful experience I had was in a high end Italian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. I ordered chicken parmesan and it was disgusting. I couldn't eat it and left all but a bite or two on the plate. The server asked if there was a problem and I confessed that it wasn't edible. No, I didn't want anything else. (It ruined my appetite) The chef came out of the kitchen and Yelled At Me! He was famous for his nasty chicken parm, yell some more, loudly. It was the first and last time I ever complained in a restaurant. Horrible experience. I told everyone I knew for years to never go there.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

My favorite Italian chain is Bertucci's, though I think they are only a local chain (and known more for their very good pizza, but their pasta is also really good; I just almost never get it cause the pizza is so outstanding).

Oh yes, they're in Philly too. They had a rather tasty lemon chicken pizza, IIRC.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, Laura, now I want to go to Ft. Lauderdale just to not eat there.

Lemon chicken pizza sounds great.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I once went to a Cheesecake Factory for an office lunch. It worked well for a group in which one person couldn't eat gluten, one insisted on a burger, one insisted on a salad, and so on.

Hey. New board.

Gris - try NAIS ? [link]

Thank you, Sox! That yielded a couple of promising openings that for which I wasted no time in applying. You rock!

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

We're up to 60 phone calls and 30 e-mails. I might start taking bets on when this is going to stop...

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Ok, I bet tomorrow at 11:59 pm.

I consider CF perfectly cromulent chain food, with lots of options, all done reasonably well. They are a little pricier than some, but the portions are also gianormous (too much so, in my opinion, but I don't mind taking leftovers).

Speaking of gianormous porions, I just thought of another decent Italian chain that's not local - Maggiano's. Love their tiarmasu and the chicken saltambocca.

d, bet noted. (Not sure what we're betting.) Although this has gone on for over a week before. That was an interesting week. I wanted to kill the two-hundredth applicant to say "I have lots of experience in a care home". With a spoon.
