My family loves Olive Garden. I've been there a lot. I like it.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Now I want real Italian food. Or a trip to Italy.
Or maybe just lunch.
Hmmmm.
For me, Olive Garden's virtues are that it's a chain (so you know what it'll be even if you've never been to that particular one before) and they're easy to find if you're driving through some suburb or you've gotten off the highway to get gas.
If I'm going to go to a chain Italian-type restaurant I'd rather go to Carrabba's. Definitely much better and their Cesar salad is wonderful. Lots of garlic.
I don't think I've ever seen a Carrabba's. Are they regional?

Carrabba's is definitely the best chain Italian I have ever been too.
They started out regional (in Texas, I believe, because that's where the Carrabba/Mandola families are from) but they're in almost every state now since being bought by the Outback chain. However, I do think there's probably more of them in the SE than almost anywhere else.
Never heard of them either - maybe Illinois is left out of the "almost".
Kalliope is such a beautiful name.
What fun-of-a-day I had.
We were supposed to celebrate (early) my sister's birthday (coming up on 4 days, but she won't be home then). So we got up early (or, just I - for a Friday), drove an hour to meet her half-way-through and go have lunch at a restaurant we all like.
Only the fiend decided to pick up a hell of a mood to be released on us, and just want to go home.
Not like she could've told it an hour before, when she was already in a bad mood and we were about to leave the house.
Yay. Oh, and next chance to celebrate her birthday? In about a month and a half.
Aurora and Woodridge for Illinois.
Looking at the locator, it seems that the upper Midwest and Far West are out of the equation along with, Mississippi, West Virginia, Maine, and Vermont.
