You can NEVER start too early!
Totally. You should have used fiber optics to show episodes of ST:TOS to Ryan while he was still in the womb.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

He DIDN'T?!?!?

See, I've always been more of your bio-nerd where such matters are concerned.
He DIDN'T?!?!?
I think some of you may be losing sight of the fact that I didn't produce Ryan via parthenogenesis.
Sure, but you don't have to go and ADMIT that.
So, this is unexpected: Ryan has acne. I'm not ready for him to be a teenager! He's going to ask me about girls. What do I know about girls?
Hee! Infant acne is actually really common - it's caused by hormones in the mother's milk and usually goes away by about 6 weeks (when the post-partum hormones calm down to a more manageable level).
I spotted an ad in one of the morning free papers that someone's doing a study on the effects of a vegan diet on acne. No medications or anything, just the effect of the diet.
Not vegan, but I do know that giving up all dairy (this includes cheese, *SOB*) makes my skin clear up lickety-split. Sometimes I backslide and eat the tasty tasty cheese (I work in an Italian restaurant, there's only so much temptation I can take), but I do try to avoid all dairy.
Yeah, Lily's lasted a week or so, starting at 3 weeks. We cleaned her face gently with water and ignored as best we could. She was a serious pimple monster.
Once in a health food store I was having a lovely conversation with a really enthusiatic woman who was telling me all about her raw food diet of the last two years. And she had some of the most horrible acne I'd ever seen in an adult.
(I don't mean to sound sarcastic. She was really nice and it was fun talking to her.)
