Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm pretty pleased about Biden (my text came at 2:47, FTR). I do think he shores up Obama on not just foreign pol but with the "white working class" voter that Clinton claimed. I'm not a fan of his ties to the banking industry, what with everything going on these days, but Delaware, so I guess it's unavoidable. And he's got solid cred on a number of other issues - Violence Against Women Act and pay equity, etc.

What makes me most excited though is that it makes it look like Obama is really looking to engage, rather than be too conciliatory. Biden's an attack dog in the very best way - his instinct is to fight and argue, and not to mince words, but he's got the smarts and the cred to back it up.

I don't doubt there'll be some cringe-worthy gaffes in there too, but I'm not too concerned.

This is gonna be a fun ride, y'all.

Finally got around to watching the gymnastics gala. Such fun! The Chinese tumbling and trampoline team was amazing, as were the martial arts tumblers. Still don't get rhythmic gymnastics, especially when they choose Céline Dion songs--yuck!

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I have no motivation to do anything right now. I don't feel like eating, and the last time I ate something was lunch yesterday. I don't even feel like reading. I certainly don't feel like paying bills, cleaning my house (including litter box and vacuuming), sending out a bunch of emails, doing some accounting, or making phone calls--all things which I need to do today. I don't even feel like napping. I was supposed to have a breakfast date with my best friend, but that got rescheduled. So instead I'm just sitting here, trying to figure out what's wrong with me. It's really late in the day, and I don't want to do anything at all.

As soon as the bananas defrost, I'm making banana bread.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That is really weird, because I have bananas defrosting!

Oh, I love that! It's perfectly descriptive and accurate. Did she tell you how to fix it?

I freeze bananas when they're going black but I'm not ready to make anything with them.

Well, it may not be much help in your situation, but she would go for some alone time in her rocking chair on the porch, looking over her garden, and that usually led to a short nap.

On the other hand, when my grandfather felt that way he would go out for a drive -- around town, or out in the country, wherever whim and random chance took him.
