Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I continue to be impressed by Olympians in their 30s, in these kids' events. Also the sprinter in the hijab.

That is sad, Sue! It would have been better!

Jesse, I agree with both things!

sara, I think she was just befuddled.

OK, maybe only a little annoyed...

AW! Cute Devi! Okay, going to make Mexican lasagne. Sigh.

I had potato, chicken and green chile stewed (not stew or soup) for dinner the past couple of nights. Almost as good as green chile stew. The broth was just not right, but the solids were good, so I strained,

Mexican lasagne sounds weird?

“Not dead yet!”

I am bound and determined to lose some of the weight put on during the great Spring and Summer of Depression, so a lot of Healthy Choice for me. Feh. Once the kids go back to school on Monday, I'm going to start working out again so I can eat like a normal person.

Grace with the ribbon barrettes? Too cute!

Well, it's layers of tortillas, rice, corn, cheese, ground beef. Hard to go wrong with all of that.

Ok, doesn't sound so weird. In fact, now I'm craving despite not being at all hungry.

Pasta + mexican is a dissonance for me. I can even see pasta with a chile pesto, barely, but baked weirds me out. Odd, because italian and mexican share some key herbs. Texture, maybe?
