Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What I like seeing after the 100 M dash is how multiple people were so happy with how they did!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

WOOT WOOT! I heard back from the college board! My syllabus has been approved. That's one less thing to worry about. (and it's probably not a big deal, but it sure stressed me out).

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Middle school kids know that the word din means noisy, right?

Yep. And if they don't, the context of the sentence should help them.

Is there a fire on your side of the hill, Allyson? We're going to breakfast at Trails Cafe in the park at Ferndell tomorrow (if you are Polgara want to join us) but only if there's not a fire.

I just got back from the grocery store with a view of Griffith and didn't see one. Can't smell it either.

Arguing with my co-author about a couple of word issues.

My syllabus has been approved.

Yay!

I didn't know that.

Though, maybe I did, and only right now I don't know that. It makes sense, since I seem to have lost big chunks of my Hebrew, as well - I'm translating the abstract and table-of-contents into Hebrew, and it's like my vocabulary went to sleep and left me all alone here.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

In swimming, Michael Phelps climbing up to hug his Mom nearly broke me.

I'm glad swimming's over, maybe they'll stop talking about Phelps now.

I like track and field, nearly every country has someone who can run.

Art Crawl!!!

We're transitioning from Swimming and Gymnastics to Track and Field.

I'm sure that there is some other big sport in the 2nd week - but right now I cannot think what it is.

They'll probably do more with the basketball and beach volleyball. There's also the individual apparatus competitions in gymnastics, and some more diving.
