Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yay P-C! "Not the worst!"

Also yay Dylan! That is very awesome.

I had absolutely horrible dreams last night too. Must be the moon phase or something. As a result I'm taking the day off work.

Which will end around 1, when the DH returns from the Ickystans, but that's good too.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I had absolutely horrible dreams last night too.

So did I. Two words: exploding toilet .

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I usually don't remember my dreams.

But the night before last I had a strange dream involving angels flying around carrying people. And then KISS flew in.

At which point I turned to Samuel L. Jackson (yeah, I don't know) and laughed "Just what we need; Super-KISS!"

I woke up before Samuel L. Jackson could say "I'm sick of these motherfuckin' flying rock stars and their motherfuckin' makeup!" unfortunately.

Dude. Get out of my head.

Except I think I lucid-dreamed the angels in, because up until that point demons were laying waste to everything, and had rather trapped me and the people I was with.

Clearly they needed to get back to vw's PPT.

Scola might win for most realistic horrible dream, though.

Speaking of the presentation...

What's a good graphic that I could use to represent women and fundamentalism?

ETA: Or should I just be more neutral and use this: [link]

Vortex and Sox, my niece has turned down the Echols thing at UVA to take UNC-CH's money and attend college there

Dead to me. I mean, I don't know her, but she's dead to me.

ION, I just realized that my workplace subsidizes Starbucks. A grande latte is $2.70 there.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

That Wizard of Oz quilt is awesome. I think I need to learn how to quilt so that I can make that.

Of course, looking around my apartment right now, I've got a half-finished crocheted baby blanket that was orinally meant for a kid who's now five, a bag of wool and about three yards of spun yarn, and a cross-stitch project I started in 1996. So, one more project is probably not a great idea. (The cross-stitch one is the closest to done. I bet I could finish it in a weekend if I just sat down to do it.)

Hil, what you should do is come up to Boston and stay with me for a weekend. I'll borrow my mom's machine, and we can do it together in three days. It's a really quick and easy project.
