[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You'll like this, omnis.

I plug my iPod into the sound board for speaker check, which means I can pick whatever song I want.

The reed player in the band for the musical I'm mixing gets there about the same time I do. He's been jamming along with the tunes I pick when he does his warm up.

It brings a smile to my face every time.

Yesterday, it was Holst's Jupiter, today we jazzed it ip a bit with Les McCann and Eddie Harris, Compared to What.

Also, as I was taking a walk this morning, a hummingbird stopped to check me out. It hovered at face level, about three feet in front of me, for maybe twenty or thirty seconds. I stopped to let it.

It was... Incredible.

Hummingbird!

aaand the Grand Prix must be about to start. Just heard some MAJOR flyover. I'm guessing fighter jets.
You've either still got about another hour to go or the broadcast is delayed. Traditional start time is 1 but the tv broadcast doesn't start today until 2:30.

God, you can *hear* the jets. I am so jealous. I love the flyovers nearly as much as the cars. No, that's not true. But I love the jets a LOT.

Now I have to go check online timing and scoring to see if tv is delayed or not. I was kinda hoping to watch this one on the laptop and the tv.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

My MiL hangs a hummingbird feeder from her front porch roof. The boids come to the kitchen door and yell at her when it's empty--now they've discovered the kitchen window and they'll come there, too. I was sitting out on the porch when one of them wanted to feed, and it felt threatened, so it dive-bombed me. Repeatedly. Feisty little thing. But gorgeous. And yes, I went inside so it could eat in relative security.

\\o/ !

I'm glad you're feeling better, Andi.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Hi! My name is Suzi, and I think people should throw napkins at me whenever they eat with me.

I really really like it when that happens.

Suzi, you have *got* to learn to log out when Lee is around. Or, you know, not. Because it's fun to try and figure out when a login has been hijacked.

Damn, my race is being broadcast time delayed. Which is good because I hate going up against Nascar. A split audience helps no one. Just means I can't be a total tech ho. And should likely watch my step around the internets for the next few hours.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just got back from Massachusetts. Seder was uneventful, which is good. Hung out with my sister, which was fun. Now trying to figure out what to make for dinner -- I think I'm too tired to cook, so I'll heat up some frozen eggplant parmesan. But I'll have to go to the grocery store and get some vegetables and stuff tomorrow, so that I'll be able to cook something then.

Hil, I'm glad you had a decent time with your family for the holiday.

Eggplant parmesan sounds really good.
