x-post with Natter:
In other job news, I am being interviewed by a slew of my colleagues and bosses on Monday for the 10th grade class dean position. Meep. The position is basically a class advisor--I'd have a slightly reduced teaching load, a tiny raise, and become the main coordinator/liaison for the grade.
Happy birthday bonny, my birthday twin.
My DH is oddly fond of Nissan Sentras and it's starting to look like having a second car would be a good idea even if it hardly ever gets driven.
Heh, okay. My uncle, for some bizarre reason, is suggesting I
give
the fucking car to him (for my cousin) rather than buying it back from me since he made me buy it from him.
Even my mom is like, that's whack.
Happy birthday, beth and bonny!
I know two other people with birthdays today.
Huh. Two of my colleagues' birthdays are today, too, and we sang HB to one of my students this morning! Today is birthdaylicious.
Never played Aftermath. What's it like?
It's been at least 15 years since I've played my copy. It's a very 80's take on post apocalyptic games.
This is the Uncle who gave you the bad advice on negotiating with your new landlord when you moved in? Yeah, he is just trying it on.
Happy birthday, beth!
Even my mom is like, that's whack.
Oh, that's funny. Especially if she used those words.
That sounds pretty cool, Kristin! Good luck!
Thanks, -t. I had mixed feelings about applying at first, but I'm really excited at the idea of finally being in charge of a group of teachers (I would lead the advisor team for that grade). I'm ready for a leadership role.
