My upstairs neighbor got very put out with me once cause I wouldn't let a guy come in while I was here alone to turn the water off. Hey, if I guessed wrong, I'd get rolled out in a tarp. Personally, I'd rather be a bitch, right?
Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
And then I'd call the county office back through the switchboard
I did this right after I hung up with him, and he is a caseworker there. But still - could be a con!!
And then I'd call the county office back through the switchboard to make sure the person who wanted the information actually worked there - not just call the number he gave me.
exactly.
And getting shirty is par for the course if it's someone posing as someone else especially. what do they care if you think badly of "their" organization? Ditto what Cashmere said.
and if it is legit? their bad for not having a clue. not yours. It's not your information he's asking you to share. it's someone else's.
The scene of the person getting the address from landlord is usually followed by the scene with the yellow crime tape and the murdered family.

Heh. I made a grammar mistake in a post about Owen earlier but I'm leaving it in.
Liv got got quiet earlier so I went downstairs expecting her to be asleep. Nope. She was starkers and jumping from the top of the back of the futon, laughing hysterically.
Naked is my kids' default mode.
well ... if you could keep them that way, you wouldn't have to do as much laundry (searching desperately for a silver lining)
I have determined that my mechanic is walking distance from my house. Woo. Pesky check engine light.
Which reminds me: Polter-Cow? Are you around? Still trying to sell that Sentra?
Hee! Well, I'm not even close to buying a new car as of yet, but when I do, I will need to get rid of it, yes. That could be months down the line, though, given how indecisive and neurotic and frugal I am.
Steph, it's BofA that just started dicking us around with the fees. We probably haven't come close enough to the line to incur them before, so the policy may have started earlier. But I do remember not so long ago being able to reconcile fees to overdrafts. Now, I just have fees hanging out there with no withdrawal to connect them to.
I cannot balance an account this way. Every item has to have something it is attached to-purchace, fee for bank service, overdraft fee, cash withdrawal, whatever. These on my ledger basically look like the bank just taking $35 out when they feel like it.
