Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Happy Birthday, ND!

(also, the Pope [it's because of you I get the day off tomorrow!], and my niece, Molly who turns 9 today)

Campus looks really lovely for the Pope's visit. If you can get close enough to see it -- which today means resident students and law school folks, so the Secret Service can run the dogs all over campus looking for bombs.

Roads are closing around campus at 3 p.m., so getting out of here today is going to be one Mell of a Hess, as my mother would say.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Happy Birthday ND! (And Cybervixen-who-changed-her-name, but she's never around any more, sob sob whine)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Birthday, ND!!!

The Eddie Izzard concert was fabulous! I'll give a complete report later today because I'm already running late, as usual.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Happy Birthday NoiseBob DesignPants!

Were I there for your party, I would present you with a giant Pope hat.

Alas, someone else will have to see to that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW! May your day involve less than 16 hours of work and no mouse-driven cruise ships.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Happy birthday Drew! Have a wonderful and relaxing day!

ION, after almost 13 years, I am now in possession of my undergrad BFA degree from Emerson. I'm strangely pleased. I say "strangely" because if I didn't care enough to get that resolved over the last 13 years, the logical assumption would be that I didn't care.

But I'm happy to close that circuit... it's sort of a symbol that yes, perhaps that degree was worthwhile after all, given that it has gotten me to where I am now, which is a pretty darn good place to be.

So in about a year and a half (knock wood) I'll have 2 degrees to display proudly!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Happy birthday Drew! And agreed, you simply MUST wear a big silly pope hat at some point today. I'm sure SOMEONE could arrange that ;)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Okay, because I'm apparently hugely egotistical, I need to post a corrected picture of my stripey hair. I didn't realize how dark the overall photo was last night; obviously I need to calibrate my laptop. Jeez!

Dig the stripes! For real, this time!
