Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

MM, next time on of your FCOtD calls for a W2, tell him to download a Form 4852 from irs.gov. It's what they can send in place of the W2 as long as they know what their total wages and state and federal taxes were. I had to do that with one of mine. I requested a reissue and still didn't get it. From a government agency, no less.

That's been suggested, but often they don't know what their total wages and taxes were. And we're not allowed to tell them over the phone. We tell them to look at their last 2007 paystub, but they've often lost those as well.

*sigh* People are like monkeys, but with more power and less sense.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I just printed off 5000 SAT vocab words!

All these years later, I wonder what I would have gotten on the SAT had I taken it. I got such a shit score on the PSAT that it scared me away from taking the SAT, so I just took the ACT. But now, I want to take the SAT!

Art Crawl!!!

Ooh, stripey Teppy - how fun!

Aims, I'm so sorry to hear the news about your sister. How heartbreaking to have had your hopes raised and dashed in such quick succession.

Our wings are not tired.

Need pictures of stripey Teppy.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I haven't read the Harry Potter books (don't shun me, please!), but the white stag always makes me think of St. Eustace.

I miss Jossica :(

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I do, too.

My sister's out of surgery. They seem to think they got everything, but are going to do a course, round, something of the iodine radiation stuff.

I haven't talked to her yet and am still trying to decide if I want to drive up there after work tonight.

Would you be back tonight as well?

I just would like to know, because if you're not...I won't be in to work tomorrow what with the one car and all.

But I am emphatically NOT saying you shouldn't go. I, personally, think you should.

And if Bossman AssChapeau gives you grief, remind him you came in to work on a Friday that you had requested off a month ago.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Beverly, I had much the same experience with rereading Enid Blyton books to my wee sister. I grew up on them and loved them to pieces, but reading them to her nine years later...pretty ghastly stuff, very classist, very racist.

Teppy - pictures! There must be pictures? (I really do need to do my roots...but I am afeared that my hair is getting even thinner, and I'm worried that I fucked up by recolouring it. I'd left it to go back to its natural mousey blonde after the whole shit-my-hair-is-falling-out thing, and it's only this year that I've ventured to colour it again. And I SO prefer it blonde. But...damn, I swear it's getting thinner. And I used to have MASSES of hair - used to regularly break hairbrushes. It's maybe a quarter of its original thickness now. I mean, it looks okay...but it's scary. Don't want it to get any worse, you know? And I'd assumed it was the PCOS, but maybe the hair dye played a role too. Don't know. Ack.

Anyway, Tep - would love to enjoy newly blonde hair vicariously, so post pics!
