snores softly

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ok, I asked in tech, but this is getting redic. How the hell do you get Lotus Notes and Outlook to work together?
Ok. What in all of tarnation is the purpose of a one-stop center to answer questions for the registrar, bursar, and financial aid if you go there, and they can't answer your question, so they send you to the Bursar's office? One stop, my ass!
No, you made one stop.
Now you have to make another.
Because they suck.
Also, DJ, I haven't had to do that for a very long time, so I will be no help, but I remember almost pulling my hair out trying to get that to work.
I'm just sick of being told, "Hey, did you cancel/change/reschedule that?" [Client] says he still has it and was waiting for us. Can you check to be sure?"
The implication being that maybe I forgot or did something wrong (actually, I'm sure it's not like that from my people because they have the same issues). I've even gone to sending one invite to us and one to them.
Bah!
Oh, DJ, that's so frustrating!
So, to quote one of my first graders, I'm bored.
So last night, Joe and were laying in bed and I was giving him the US Quiz in this month's Reader's Digest.
One of the questions was, "In 1963 Betty Friedan's book ________, was released, sparking feminist debate." or something.
Joe's answer? "Who is Betty Friedan? I don't know. Was it 'Get me a Martini?'"
happy backaversary , teppy!
DH dropped me off at the coffee shop this am and I walked home with my ipod - feeling a little bit like I was in montage land. As I opened the door to the house -- I got the GRRR aRRRgh fro the musical.
Oh, Joe. I am shaking my head sadly right now.
One stop, my ass!
Yeah, it's NEVER been one stop. It's a great idea, and everyone there was very nice, but they never really resolved my issues. Er, I don't think so, anyway.
