Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

congrats, vw!!

I made an appointment with a new stylist (based on a recommendation). Due to a miscommunication, I thought my appointment was at 6:30. She had me down for 6:00. I walked in at 6:20. She told me that she had just called in her next client and that she was sorry. Then she said she wouldn't be back from vacation until the end of the month. No offer to try to reschedule me, or get me in later or anything.

I was just flabbergasted and turned around and walked out without saying anything. WTF?

Should I give my last stylist (who gave me the current unflattering cut) another chance? I do have an appointment with her on Wednesday night. Or should I just start from scratch with the stylist search again?

Needless to say, I'm miffed and upset because I feel incredibly unattractive in the current cut.

Mostly lurking...

I have to say, I'm not really surprised either, but there's something about finding out for sure that it is in fact decided. It's huge validation, I guess. I thought I wrote a really great thesis, and other people agree. YAY!

Ok. Off to bed...or to try, anyways.

Thanks, all!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Sigh.

Just got a call from my sister. Turns out that the thyroiditis was bad enough that it was covering the actual cancer. She has to go back into surgery tomorrow morning to have the other half of her thyroid removed.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Crap, Aims. I hope it goes well.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm sorry, Aims. But so glad they caught it now.

Our wings are not tired.

Aims. I am so sorry. And we were all so elated. Your poor sister. Can we all send her a care package or something?

Slap me if I am out of order on that request.

(And certain of you can slap me even if it's not. You know who you are.)

Sorry to hear that Aimee, glad they caught it now though.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Thanks, ya'll. It is good it's caught now and not much later, she was just so happy to be healing well and recovering enugh to go back to school.

And java, you awesomely sweet thing. You are SO not out of order, that kind of kindness and generosity is in NO WAY out of order. I told her that once she's healed up AGAIN we could go shopping for choker neclaces, scarves, ascots, neckties, etc. Maybe I'll start scouring the thrift shops for the most godawful, butt-ugliest neck accessories.

We probably shouldn't get her bondage collars though...or maybe we should.
