...and technically I have the money for the bills, I'd just like to be able to buy some food and pick up my dry cleaning. It really irks when he comes home from work, changes, and goes out clubbing. I want to grab him and say, "that's my money you're spending!"

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Whether you can afford the bills on your own or not shouldn't be the issue, Laga. He owes you the money and he should be giving it to you in a timely manner. I agree with Hil though, don't tell him what money he should use just that he owes it to you and needs to get it to you asap.
Nothing wrong with reminding someone how much is owed, and that you need it by NOW. As long as it's a polite reminder and not shooting of kneecaps.
Marmaduke is a silly one-frame cartoon like Family Circus, but about a big dog.

Unless he's spending the money on stuff he doesn't need, like expensive cowboy boots and Vuarnet sunglasses.
Yep, I've been there... sucky college days....
I spent my very first paycheck on cowboy boots.
of course, I was still living at home with my parents.

See, it's funny, cuz he's a big dog and he gets involved in all sorts of funny situations, being a big dog and all. Did I mention "funny"?
and I know it's got nothing to do with money but (and the truth is I really don't mind washing dishes but it is getting a little ridiculous) STOP telling me, "oh I was going to wash those" after I've just finished them!
yes I know who Marmaduke is. I just couldn't place,
"That Marmaduke, huh?"
Oh Laga, I was just going to wash those dishes you just washed.
Yep, I was gonna sneak into your house or apartment. It was gong to be a surprise....
"That Marmaduke, huh?" "That Marmaduke, huh?"
It was funny because... it was funny in my head.
(And there might be some non-Buffy reference that I've mostly forgotten and can't place now....)
