I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Go Hil! I' very impressed with your work. and moving the shredder - is a brilliant idea - We did it about 6 months ago - and it makes a big difference

well, it is not cold or even 60 here. We planted today. 2 more lavander pants ( that make 4 different kinds) a pot full of parsley and Thyme. ( yes I have sage and rosemary too) and in the veggie garden box we have: 6 different tomato plants

6 basil plants

onions ( since fall)

tarragon and oregano ( from last year)

radishes

1 marigold ( supposed to be a good companion plant for tomatoes and basil)

6 different peppers

2 different eggplants

1 cucumber

1 crookneck squash

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ok, Sox, I need the link to the Travels With Child blog to send to a friend, please and thank you.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

It is absolutely beautiful in the East Bay today. CJ had a baseball game (they lost) and it just felt so nice to be out in the sun watching the kids play.

Now we are home, having a late lunch then it is back to slave-driving work. I need to:

  • Post my desk and piano on Craigslist
  • Take pictures of my weight bench and then post that on Craigslist
  • Make "For Sale" flyers for all of these to post at work
  • Deal with a sick K-Bug
  • Freecycle a bunch of stuff that has piled up
  • Clear out one side of the garage so we have a place to put our "keep" items that we want out of the house
  • Continue to look for a cleaning company to come in and do a deep clean

And so much more...

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I do think in terms of bias against Southerers, though, that the stereotype of being stupid would bother me.

Stupid, unsophisticated, incestuous, racist, xenophobic...I'm sure anti-Northern bias exists, but I don't think it's nearly as nasty as the stuff that gets thrown at us.

In short, I think y'all is a perfectly good word that fills a need, as does the phrase all y'all.

Beth, your garden sounds absolutely amazing.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

It is nice to be able to plant so much this time of year. And I am amazed at what can fit in an 8 by 4 garden box

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

It's now 75 out. We just did a bunch of leaf-raking and pruning back ivy and blackberries, and now DH and Annabel are upstairs on the deck planting cucumber seeds and setting out the strawberry plants DH bought today. He's also going to do some herbs, which always do well. This year's quixotic hopes will be tomatoes and peppers.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I know we talked about the brain scientist who had a stroke but have we seen her lecture?

That was so awesome....

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm roasting a banana with butter and brown sugar. And it's friggin 85 degrees here. I'm not sure what possessed me.

Pppppffffttttbbbbbbb. It's snowing out.

But I have beer. I'm in a room with 20 odd people I barely know, a bank of about 10 desktops, half a dozen laptops and a lot of beer. This trivia thing rocks.
