Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh yeah--a lot of the customers were completely obnoxious to us as cashiers (most of them were fine, but given the number you'd see in a full day shift...) acting like we were morons, assuming we couldn't add or subtract, etc etc. Which may have been the case for some, but I was like "HI. I'm going to Georgetown in the fall. Libby over there is going to be a sophomore at Northwestern. [Someone else I think was going to a big name school too]. We are probably smarter than you. Go ass yourself in the ear, ma'am."

Trust my rage

Thanks, everyone! Ellie is generally, but not always, nice to Frisco so to see such total sweetness made me want to share.

I am writing thank you notes and I'm certain I've forgotten someone.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Totally cute with bangs, Sox!

nah, it wasn't done as part of Honfest. It was for an entry in Baltimore Magazine's Best Of issue that year.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have a pretty stereotypical "smart kid" work ethic - if I decide something's worth my time/effort, I'll be the best little worker bee in the world, but give me busywork and I will procrastinate my ass off.

(Case in point, this metadata spreadsheet I've been supposedly working on all week. DO NOT WANT.)

[eta: Yay, bangs! They look great!]

Oh, lord, that thing. I was hilariously rejected as a contender for that.

My favorite story from that was from a woman (very attractive, cool job, early 30s etc.) who was in the Bmag Hot Singles issue and the one ONE offer of a date she got out the experience was from an incarcerated guy.

Add in a tendency to procrastinate on things I care about as well, all the better to get the adrenaline rush of a tight deadline for fuel, and this is me.
