Yes, we're some years apart though. I believe we discussed this when I came in from the Eastern Shore to meet the DCistas and juliana for dinner last year
Heh. Oh, we probably did. I'm just bad with long-term memory (my short term memory is really good though, which is very useful)
The couple I'm buying for went to Georgia Tech. I like to think their decor is not black and gold.
Yeah the blue/white/red combo was pretty basic looking. I think her towels were white with blue lettering and his were blue with red lettering. That's why it took her awhile to realize there was a method to the madness.
They've asked for several gardening things, so my current thought is that I'm going to decorate a pot and fill it with things like trowels and plant markers.
I think that is a great idea. If you go in for that sort of thing, you could include packets of seeds and some message about growing or blossoming, yada yada yada.
But what kind of ass doesn't see a problem when his girl is stuck to the toilet? All of us deserve far better partners than that!
Trudy looks like Cass Elliot, whom I think is just awesome.

Hah! Yes, of course!!! But it's impossible to turn off that initial response of "that person is coupled up yet I'm all alone?!"
I justified it to myself because I decided that he was probably seeing other people when she was on the toilet. I still want to know where he peed. And what he would have done if he'd only had one bathroom.
Fuck.
Just got the following email from my mom's sister, who took her to the oncologist today:
We had a long hard day today. Dr. Cantrell (Oncologist) told Sandra (Other Aunt), Rena (Mom) and I that the MRI of her brain indicates two very small lesions. One is in the right frontal lobe, the other in the Thalamus. We were afraid of this, but it was still a shock. He said that the chemotherapy he is putting her on, will cross the membrane and enter the brain, but not with the same concentration that it will in the rest of her body. He believes that it will slow the growth of these tumors. He said that Radiation of her brain would definitely effect her cognitive ability, and we certainly don't want that.
He also said that he felt she could have some time with a decent quality of life. She will take this chemo every three weeks for as long as she lives or until she decides she wants to stop. She took the first dose today. She wanted to be alone again, but promised to call Sandra if she got nauseated or felt sick. He is giving her steroids before and the day after each chemo treatment to lessen the side effects.
She looks good, she keeps smiling and is very excited about going to California in May with Mark and Becky. She is being very brave. I am so proud of her. Thank you all for your prayers, cards and calls. She really enjoys them, and of course, she very much believes in prayer. She does not have any pain now. Please pray that she never does.
Well, yeah, Lisah, unfortunately, I feel you on this. And I seriously don't know what's up with the dudes in the City of The Brokenhearted.
But that has got to be some *serious* Tony-soprano-gets-fucked-in the-snake-cage folie a deux crazy, right there. And it makes my ass hurt.
Vortex, wrod.

I am so sorry, Susan. My heart is breaking for your brave mom.
