Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Very clever, BT, trying to sneak in your crazy we're-all-marsupials theory like that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's been on gawker for the last couple of days.

I haven't read gawker in days! I've been doing my civic duty!!

And, you know, at some point he'll learn to understand words and it might actually matter. Grrrr.

Seriously.

So, I went to this dance thing tonight, and the dancing was good, but the music was insufferable. Some piano chords and a cello mostly going "eeeeh eeeeh eeeeh eeeeh" and sometimes going "eeeeeeeeeeh," all high and with no vibrato or whatever that's called for a cello

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

No kids here. And even I know baby's set their own schedules.

And I don't give advice - but I will ask questions ( does this work for child a ),occasionally this is unwelcomed - but that's because I was was just a place to talk to and I missed that signal.

and though it took me awhile to realizes it, sometimes even when there is something that looks like a solution for child A - it won't work because of other things in the family dynamic.

so - raising kids - complicated. I am awed by those that have chosen to do so.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

How on earth do you say "no" to a baby waking up at five?

Liese, yay! I'm really thrilled for you. It's been so amazing to read about this entire journey you've gone on! Thank you for sharing it with us.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

How on earth do you say "no" to a baby waking up at five?

It's actually pretty easy, but it requires a bit of planning. Starting at least nine months' previous.
