"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Christ, I'm older than Heath Ledger?

ETA: Not to make it all about me, it's just -- Brad Renfro was only 25 and Heath was 28, and it's freaking me out a little.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have heard of "scent-free workplaces" but I don't know how they work. I've also heard that Santa Cruz has an ordinance that prohibits discriminating against someone based on smell, but I don't know how that works either.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm really shocked and sad about Heath Ledger. As are all of my coworkers. Poor Matilda.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Poor Matilda.

I did a double-take on that one.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Teppy, thanks for the ideas re: coffee beans, ionic breeze, etc. There's actually an Ionic Pro here in the office no one has been using. I think I'll trot it out and see how it does. (The chaplain is out with a patient, so I can turn it on without being conspicuous about why.)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I did a double-take on that one.

Indeed.
