the Oscar noms
An Israeli movie is nominated in the foreign film category - "Beaufort".
I am (knock on wood) almost over the sick.
A whole ocean away, and I say pretty much the same thing. I just hope the internet is not contagious or whatever, because, well, the hivemind is nice and all, but not when it comes to sharing that kind of stuff.
Dear my boss: Screw you if you think it my fault that "we" haven't followed up with someone who
you said you'd call.
Grr.
So, this week started off with 60 minutes added to my commute. Feh. Not encouraging. This shit is getting way old.
btw Nilly, thanks for doing my errand in Israel. My friends were impressed with my Hebrew on the note.
Did they spell your name properly in English? I asked them to spell your name in English, so they'll know it's you.
[Edit: and it's always a pleasure to run this sort of errand for you. More people need to have connections to offices in Israel! Um, just in order to boost our economy, of course.]
I assume they did, since I got emails about it.
Scrappy's friend got a nom for Lars and the Real Girl.
Yay! I really liked that film.
It's cracking me up that several of the songs from
Enchanted
were nominated. They're supposed to be parodies! And I'm a little sad that the song at the end of
Juno
wasn't nominated.
um...guess that should be in movies. oh well!
It's got to be a best original song composed for the movie, right? That song wasn't new.
OMG. O.M.G.
::facepalm,headdesk,headdesk,headdesk::
ouch.
Yay, "Falling Slowly" from Once was nominated. I love that movie.
