Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Allyson, don't worry, be happy.

I do not currently have the language to describe how much suck today has, but perhaps later I will be able to articulate. This has been an appalling weekend.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I wish you a better week than weekend , ita.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I've never seen a purple frog

I never hope to see one...

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm living in a constant stream of disrespect and micromanagement. It's been a trickle, but now it's like the Mississippi.

It's almost like someone here chooses to say something designed to make me feel stupid at every turn. And seriously? There's nothing I can do about it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, the only thing you can do is get out. That place is No Good.

Ugh, ita. You deserve an appealling weekend, not an appalling one!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Allyson, I hate that they're dogging you with petty micromanagement bullshit.

That's a fucking awful way to work.

JZ and I have taken thorough advantage of the fact that we have the day off and Matilda's daycare is open. I think it's only the second time in a year we've been in the house together without her.

We had an excellent lingering lunch and then headed down to Haight Street to buy a calendar (on sale). We stopped at Booksmith and found my book on the shelves (yay!) and I ran into the events manager and we've set a date for my reading (yay!). But we didn't like the calendars so we had to steel ourselves and face.... The Well Stocked Used Bookstore With Many Calendars and the Horribly Unpleasant Owners.

Where we got our calendars and the owners were relentlessly in character.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thanks for shooting my book on the shelves, Tom! That's so cool to see.

What bookstore was that?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That was a whole mess of adorable, beth.

Amongst the crap of the weekend there have been a couple good bits. Went to say goodbye to one of the instructors, and she has the most evil little brother in the world. He ardently pummelled the other instructor there, who shrugged off the five year old fists as if they were nothing.

When told to stop, he said "I'm not hurting him! He's tougher than everyone else here put together!" And then he scaled the instructor's body and clung to it in a hug that had no hope of meeting on the other side.

Little kids can help.

I currently have almost no hair. Which would have been fine if that's what I'd meant to do, but it was a mistake.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What bookstore was that?
